Dr. Brothers completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2009 from The University of Alabama, obtained a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from University of North Alabama in 2013, and went on to obtain a Doctor of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in 2018. She is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota, NAADAC the association for addiction professionals, and the Alabama Association of Addictions Counselors. She has worked in agency, academic, and/or private practice settings since 2010. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at UNA and in her private practice. She is also an Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a counseling supervisor for those seeking licensure to practice counseling in the state of Alabama.

 I strive to offer effective individualized psychological care as well as ethical counseling supervision for licensure. Although I have an extensive knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment thereof, I also have experience with a number of mental health disorders, and work to provide a neutral ground to individuals, couples, and supervisees.   

This Practice's focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a wellness plan. 

In order to ensure individualized treatment for each client, this practice utilizes an eclectic approach to therapeutic intervention that includes but is not limited to: Psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, Motivational Interviewing Techniques, Person Centered Therapy approaches, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness activities
